Our rural and regional background
Registered Valuer Stewart Thompson has held an unlimited Valuers registration since 1993.
Stewart has been a member of the Australian Property Institute of Australia, the peak industry body for the valuation profession since 1993.
Practical Experience:
- Stock and Station Agency, (Goulburn and Dubbo).
- Rural Insurance Inspector (Fire & General).
- Valuation through the Valuer-General’s Department.
- Agribusiness Development Manager for the former NSW Department of State and Regional Development.
Stewart’ strong connection to the area and rural / regional property issues are enhanced by his part time beef operation. Running a self replacing beef cattle herd of 70 Hereford cows and followers on the outskirts of Goulburn.
Stewart's understanding of site challenges and client responsiveness was instrumental in achieving the early acquisition and upcoming re-opening of the abattoir at Young — Michael Cullen Executive Director Trade and Investment NSW
InHouse Valuation
InHouse Valuation was formed in June 2012, to deliver a cost effective Valuation Service to clients of Accounting and Legal practises in the Southern Tablelands of NSW.
Valuations undertaken across the Southern Tablelands including Braidwood, Bungonia, Crookwell, Goulburn, Marulan, Taralga, Tarago, Towrang
Mortgage and Financial Security users of valuation services have become more demanding of valuation firms who provide valuations to them. This has resulted in significant increases in professional indemnity insurance costs. A flow on consequence has been rationalisation in the valuation profession with firms concentrating in specific types of Valuations. In many cases it has reduced access to quality and cost effective advice to the other users of valuation services in rural and regional centres.
